Free Southern Oregon workshops on heritage tourism, Jan. 17 & Feb. 21

    Travel Southern Oregon and The Jackson County Heritage Association have teamed up to produce two professional development workshops enhancing the skills and knowledge of the travel and hospitality industries, city staff, elected officials, and heritage advocates. These workshops aim to develop and improve strategic partnerships at the intersection of heritage, tourism, and economic development. All those interested in history are welcome to attend and participate.

    Heritage Tourism 101: The Intersection of Heritage, Tourism and Economic Development 
    Wed, January 17, 2024, 10a‐4p | Talent Community Center | 104 East Main Street

    Heritage Tourism 201: Telling Authentic Stories with Historical Re‐enactments 
    Wed, February 21, 2024, 9a‐3p | Jacksonville City Hall Assembly Room | 206 North 5th Street

    There is no cost for either workshop, and lunch will be provided.  Optional walking tours of the Talent Historical Society and Historic Jacksonville, respectively, at the end of each workshop.
