Founded in 1978, the Oregon Museums Association (OMA) empowers Oregon's museums to thrive. Valuing inclusion and friendship, OMA strengthens connections throughout the Oregon museum community with lively discussion and networking at in-person events and via online media; insightful programming and training at our annual conference and workshops; and targeted advocacy to advance the museum field.
As of March 1, 2026, OMA has begun a prorated membership fee model for all new members.
With any new application for membership after March 1st of each year, membership fees will be prorated based on the month of membership. If a new application is made before March 1st of the given year, membership fees will not be prorated. Please review the information from Wild Apricot below for more details on membership fee proration and how this affects payment for new memberships.
The prorating calculation will divide the membership fee for annual renewals by 12 then multiply the result by the number of months left in your membership period. For example, if your level renews on January 1st and your annual membership fee is $120, then an application received on September 1st will be charged a prorated fee of $40 (120/12*4).
The current month will count as a full month in the prorating calculation regardless of what day of the month the application was received. Using the above example, a prorated charge of $40 will be applied whether the application was received on September 1st, September 15th, or September 30th.
Thank you for your continued support of OMA. For any questions or concerns, please contact connect@oregonmuseums.org.
