When museums face challenges they’re inexperienced to handle, it can be daunting, isolating, and stressful. Oregon Heritage’s MentorCorps program can guide organizations through prioritization, emergency planning, interpretation and collections projects, outreach and volunteer support, policy updates, grants guidance, and even access to equipment. For volunteers or staff who don’t feel prepared, the Oregon Heritage expert Mentors are here to fill the gaps. This session highlights MentorCorps’ process, timeline, types of projects, and additional resources, for organizations seeking a Mentor or individuals curious about what serving as a Mentor entails.
