Description
This session tells the story of how the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Culture and Heritage Department, High Desert Museum, Confluence, and the Museum at Warm Springs developed "The Wasq’u People and the Big River" curriculum for 4th and 8th grades. Presenters will highlight the key messages Wasq’u Elders and teachers aim to convey through the curriculum, detail the co-creation process, and share lessons learned. Participants will engage in hands-on activities and small-group discussions on integrating these activities into museum programming.
