Join us at the Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education (OJMCHE) in Portland, OR for a workshop focused on scheduling educational programs! This workshop will be helpful for anyone working with scheduling on and off-site educational programs such as tours, classroom workshops, and speaker presentations for adult and student groups. We will discuss scheduling from start to finish, including initial tour and program requests, communications with schools and organizers, scheduling docents, tour and program logistics, data collection, and more. Participants will explore in-depth the OJMCHE scheduling process, consider options for their own organization, and begin a plan for implementation.

About the Presenter: Ariel Peasley is a Museum Educator and Coordinator at the Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education (OJMCHE) as well as a current Oregon Museums Association (OMA) board member where she serves as Secretary, and Programs Committee Chair. Ariel has worked at OJMCHE for two years facilitating tours and workshops for students at the museum and in schools. In the last year, she has taken on the additional role of scheduling all student programs, as well as many adult education opportunities. Program coordination and logistics have been a major aspect of many of her previous roles and she is now working with the education team at OJMCHE to update and streamline their current processes for everyone’s success.

Registration deadline is July 26. This workshop is subject to cancellation if a minimum number of registrations is not met - if this is the case, attendees will be notified on July 26. Please write to connect@oregonmuseums.org if you have any questions.
